We work in hybrid mode 3+2, at a minimum of 3 days at the office (with mandatory Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and 2 days at the home office.

The location of our office is Puszkarska 7J/Building E, 30-644 Kraków, Polska.

 

Your Role: 

As the Senior Product Designer at SolarWinds, you will play a crucial role in the design team responsible for shaping the end-to-end experience of our products. You will be an integral part of the SolarWinds global design team, contributing to the design of services that offer a comprehensive view of customers’ Cloud & Datacenter environments. Your designs will solve very technical problems and require a deep understanding of observability tools. Your responsibilities include owning the experience for a core service and collaborating with the product and engineering teams. 

 

Your Impact: 

  • Collaborate with product managers, product owners, and engineers to ensure the strategic and efficient execution of well-planned, structured services for customers. 
  • Work collaboratively with other designers to create a cohesive and intuitive user journey across our products. 
  • Apply a research and strategic mindset to ensure the product resonates with users. 
  • Act as an end-to-end product designer, handling tasks from sketching and prototyping to overseeing production. 
  • Communicate design work and decisions internally to your product team and across the organization. 
  • Work closely with engineering teams to understand the build process and ensure quality assurance before shipment. 
  • Collaborate with the research team to gather insights and validate design decisions. 
  • Serve as the expert in your product area, mentoring other designers and contributing to design patterns and systems. 

Your Experience: 

Must have:

  • Strong hands-on professional experience in enterprise SaaS product design. 
  • Proficiency in thinking in workflows, understanding data hierarchy, and designing for complex data volumes, delivering high-fidelity wireframes. 
  • Experience working on technical products, ideally in the observability/monitoring space. 
  • Proven track record of shipping intuitive enterprise product experiences showcased in your portfolio. 
  • Strong visual and written communication skills for clearly conveying design work and justifying decisions. 
  • Proficient with Figma. 
  • Understanding of systems thinking and experience with component-based design patterns. 
  • Effective in giving and receiving feedback, supporting and enhancing the work of colleagues. 
  • Thrives in mature Agile teams, embracing rapid learning, experimentation, iteration, and close collaboration. 
  • Experience advocating for the customer and end-users. 

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with designing for developer/observability tools, process-tracking, and/or incident management tools. 
  • Experience in a SaaS or B2B startup and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
