Your Role:

As an Engineering Manager, Security, your primary responsibility will be to lead and guide a team focused on ensuring the security of our product offerings, with a special emphasis on cloud security. You’ll need a deep understanding of security principles, vulnerabilities, and best practices. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Your Impact:

Security Strategy and Guidance
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define the security strategy for our on-prem and cloud-based products.
- Provide expert guidance on security issues, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed about emerging threats and technologies in cloud security and apply this knowledge to protect our products.
Cloud Security Best Practices
- Work closely with development teams to ensure secure integration of tools into CI/CD pipeline, cloud services and infrastructure.
- Design, advocate, and implement cloud-specific security measures, including IAM (Identity and Access Management), data encryption, secure network configurations, and activity monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with relevant cloud security standards and regulations.
- Liaise with external security experts and cloud service providers to stay informed about new vulnerabilities and best practices.
Incident Response and Training:
- Lead cloud security incident response efforts, investigating incidents and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Conduct security awareness and training sessions for development teams, emphasizing the importance of security in cloud environments.
People Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing team.
- Coach team members on security concepts and best practices.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.

Your Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a closely related field, with significant coursework or experience in cloud computing.
Minimum 10 years experience at least 3 years in managing security team.
Deep understanding of security principles, vulnerabilities, and risk assessment.
Familiarity with security automation tools and orchestration.
Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and the ability to convey complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
Previous involvement with regulatory compliance (e.g., SOC2/Fedramp) and data protection strategies in cloud contexts is a plus.
