Staff Product Owner

We work in hybrid mode 3+2, at a minimum of 3 days at the office, with mandatory Wednesdays and Tuesdays, and 2 days at the home office.

The location of our office is Holandská 873/6, Brno – Štýřice, 639 00.

Your role:

In the role of Product Owner for the Design Team, you will work closely with the Product Managers, Engineering Product Owners, and other team leads and be responsible for planning & prioritizing design tasks and deliverables through all stages of the development lifecycle, as well as helping guide and manage the design team deliverables. Additionally, this role will liaise with Design Team leaderships and Product Management teams to ensure that design team activities align to customer value, roadmaps, and release schedules.

Your Impact:

• Working with Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, other Product Owners, and Development teams to ensure the business, quality, and feature goals are met for each release.
• Collaborating with R&D and Product Managers to translate business requirements into user stories.
• Maintaining a prioritized backlog of user stories, features, and defects.
• Working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile Team (Scrum of Scrums, Big Room Planning, Product Increment sessions, etc.) identifying and influencing process improvements across the department.
• Participate, and where appropriate lead, daily Stand-ups and regular Sprint planning, Sprint review, and Retrospective meetings.
• Organize design intake and planning meetings and ensure all dependencies are accounted for and all roadblocks are removed, to ensure a stable, predictable cadence of enhancements that produce customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Must have:

• Strong understanding and experience working with Agile methodologies.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
• Data & metrics-driven approach to project tracking.
• Understand the challenges and nuances of software releases, upgrades, and migrations for on-premise and cloud/SaaS products.

Nice to have:

• SAFe experience.
• Higher technical knowledge and experience, namely in a previous Design, Developer, Tester, or DevOps capacity.
•  A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, HCI or MIS
