About the Role
We are seeking a highly technical Accounting Senior Manager to play a critical, hands-on role in executing a best-in-class global close and reporting process. This role reports directly to the Director of Accounting and is deeply embedded in day-to-day accounting operations, with a strong focus on execution, judgment, and problem-solving.
This is an ideal role for an experienced accounting leader who enjoys being hands-on, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants meaningful exposure to complex accounting areas while driving accuracy, consistency, and quality across the close and reporting process.
Key Responsibilities
Close Execution & Ownership
- Manage and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and close deliverables.
- Prepare and review flux analyses and close packages, partnering with FP&A to ensure alignment between actuals and forecasts.
- Support quarterly and annual close processes, including expanded analytics, audit readiness, and reporting support.
Technical Accounting Support
- Support technical accounting assessments under US GAAP, including research and documentation.
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of accounting policies and position memos as needed.
Audit, Controls & Compliance
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and ensuring audit-ready documentation for AMER entities.
- Execute and maintain SOX / ICFR controls within scope, including preparation and review controls.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Act as a key user for core finance systems, including NetSuite, FloQast, Coupa, and other close-related tools.
- Identify automation and standardization opportunities in partnership with accounting leadership.
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to a global accounting team.
- Review work product, reinforce expectations for quality and timeliness, and help develop team members’ technical and operational skills.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented culture within the accounting organization.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in corporate accounting and/or public accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and hands-on experience with monthly close processes.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with FP&A, Payroll, HR, Legal, and AP.
- Familiarity with SOX / ICFR-controlled environments and external audit support.
- Experience working in NetSuite or a similar ERP, and modern close tools (e.g., FloQast).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Preferred
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Big 4 or national public accounting experience.
- Experience in software, SaaS, or technology companies.
- M&A, including acquisitions and IPO.
