SolarWinds is seeking a Graphic Designer specializing in event and trade show environments. This role focuses on translating our brand into physical spaces, creating high-impact large-scale signage, interactive digital displays, and marketing collateral that drives booth traffic. The perfect candidate understands the unique constraints of print production for environmental graphics and how to create cohesive multi-sensory brand experiences.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Environmental Strategy: Partner with the events teams to conceptualize booth layouts, traffic flow, lighting, materials, and spatial design to ensure graphics remain legible and impactful in various environments.
• Large-Scale Production: Design and prep high-resolution files for large-format printing, including backdrops, pull-up banners, signs, and custom panels for a variety of trade show specifications.
• Digital Integration: Create eye-catching digital signage for events, such as LED walls, booth reels, and ads for digital publications. Also create pre-event promotional landing pages and banners.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Present 3D booth renderings and visual comps to cross-functional teams, incorporating feedback to ensure brand consistency across physical and digital touchpoints.
• Vendor Management: Work closely with external vendors and event coordinators to ensure print quality, color accuracy, and timely delivery of assets.
• Lead Generation Design: Develop collateral (brochures, swag, and infographics) designed specifically to meet aggressive lead-gen targets for use in-booth.
• Event-in-a-Box: Create and maintain a library of assets that are ready for event teams to take to trade shows without needing new creative requests.
• Brand Messaging: Understand the different types audiences we reach at different events. Work with the Brand Team and Copywriter to ensure the best possible messaging is reflected on booth assets.
REQUIREMENTS
• 4+ years of professional experience in graphic design, with an emphasis on environmental, experiential, or trade show design.
• Knowledge of large-format print processes, ability to deliver “press-ready” files for complex physical builds.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Experience with Adobe After Effects, or 3D rendering software is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with copywriters to create messages that are “readable from the aisle” and leave a lasting impression in a high-distraction environment.
• Effective communicator who can take direction and articulate design decisions. Some English is necessary, with fluency preferred.
• Portfolio showcasing examples of digital and print design.
