Are you someone who wants to take the next step in your career? Join SolarWinds and help shape the future of our Online Demo experiences! As a Software Engineering Intern on the Online Demo team, you’ll have a significant impact on the growth of our business by building interactive demos that showcase the value of our products to customers and prospects.

You’ll be part of a self-organized scrum team working based on Agile principles, collaborating closely with product marketing, UX, and engineering teams to deliver high-impact demo experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Build features in .NET C# and/or React for Online Demos—from requirement discovery through design, implementation, testing, and release.
  • Use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and contribute to product experiences that leverage LLMs where appropriate.
  • Collaborate in scrum: stand-ups, planning, demos, retros, and code reviews with quality gates and CI/CD workflows.
  • Shadow and support basic networking tasks in the demo lab (IP addressing/subnets, DNS/DHCP, NAT/VLANs), and run synthetic checks for connectivity/latency.
  • Observe/assist low-risk activities around firewalls, load balancers, routers/switches/APs (lab-only), following runbooks and best practices.

Technologies You’ll Touch

  • Backend: .NET C#, REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Frontend: Angluar, TypeScript, testing frameworks
  • DevOps / Cloud: GitHub Actions / CircleCI / TeamCity, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, Helm
  • Observability & Data: MS SQL basics, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, logs/metrics/traces
  • Networking (lab exposure): DNS/DHCP, NAT/VLANs, routing/switching fundamentals; concepts behind firewalls and load balancers (e.g., Cisco, F5, Palo Alto)

What We’re Looking For

  • You’re a student (or recent graduate) in CS/SE or a related field.
  • Hands-on basics in C# or JavaScript/TypeScript (coursework/projects/contributions).
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD; eagerness to learn cloud/containerization concepts.
  • Curiosity for observability and networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DNS/DHCP; packet analysis at a basic level).
  • Collaborative, proactive communicator in English; comfortable asking questions, iterating, and documenting.

Nice to Have (growth signals, not requirements)

  • Coursework or lab experience with routing/switching, VLANs/NAT, or entry-level firewall concepts; CCNA-track classes or equivalent projects.
  • Exposure to SNMP/NetFlow/IPFIX or building synthetic checks.
  • Experience with PowerShell/Bash scripting and simple IaC.

What You’ll Get

  • Real product development in cloud SaaS used by global customers, plus hands-on demo lab experience.
  • Mentorship from experienced engineers across software and lab operations; full lifecycle exposure.
  • A great team culture – join our ceremonies, demos, and events.
  • Brno office perks: on-site gym, workout lessons, yoga; modern space and social events.
  • Hybrid flexibility (3+2) with strong on-site collaboration rhythms.
