This position is part of our Global Internship Program, allowing new talents to show themselves, improve, and thrive with our support. It is an on-site paid internship at our site in Brno in The Czech Republic. The length is limited – for 3 months, for full-time employment – 40 hours per week. The start of the internship is the 1st of July 2026 and the end of the internship is the 30th of September 2026. This internship cannot be done remotely. 

 We work in hybrid mode 3+2, a minimum of 3 days at the office with mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays and a maximum of 2 days at the home office per week. 

The location of our office is Holandská 873/6, Brno – Štýřice, 639 00. 

We employ only via employment contract – FTE (HPP).

 

We’re looking for a Design Intern who’s passionate about crafting intuitive, impactful user experiences for technical products. You’ll collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers across multiple product lines—including SolarWinds Observability Platform, IT Service Management (ITSM), and Hybrid Cloud Observability—to help shape the future of our user interfaces and design systems.

This internship is an opportunity to learn how design impacts complex, data-rich environments while contributing to real projects used by thousands of IT professionals around the world.

What You’ll Do

  • Support product designers in creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs.
  • Participate in design reviews and help refine user journeys across products.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to translate user needs and technical requirements into design solutions.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the SolarWinds design system and component library.
  • Assist in user research, usability testing, and documentation of design decisions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Visual Communication, or related field.
  • A portfolio (academic or personal projects welcome) demonstrating understanding of interaction, visual design, or product thinking.
  • Curiosity about technical or data-driven products and eagerness to learn how design impacts complex systems.
  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration skills and attention to detail.
