Senior UX Designer: SWO Logs

We work in a hybrid mode 3+2, with a minimum of 3 days at the office (with mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and a maximum of 2 days at the home office.

The location of our office is Holandská 873/6, Brno – Štýřice, 639 00.

We employ only via an employment contract – full-time employment (HPP).

Your Role:

As a Senior UX Designer at SolarWinds, you will lead the design of user experiences for SolarWinds Observability – Logs (SWO Logs), a core service that enables IT teams to aggregate, search, and analyze logs from multiple sources in real time. Your mission is to simplify complex workflows and massive data volumes into intuitive, actionable interfaces that help users troubleshoot faster and smarter.

You will own the UX strategy for log observability features, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to deliver a cohesive experience across the SolarWinds Observability Platform.

Your Impact:

• Shape the experience for multi-source log aggregation, real-time search, and AIOps-powered analytics.
• From research and ideation to high-fidelity prototypes and production-ready deliverables.
• Work with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Engineering to validate requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Transform advanced filtering, anomaly detection, and contextual log insights into clear, user-friendly workflows.
• Partner with engineering to maintain design integrity through development and release.
• Enhance component-based patterns for consistency across the Observability Platform.
• Share best practices and guide junior designers within the team.

Your Experience:

• 5+ years of experience designing enterprise SaaS or data-intensive applications.
• Strong portfolio showcasing log analysis, data visualization, or workflow-driven designs.
• Expertise in Figma (or similar tools like Sketch, Zeplin).
• Deep understanding of systems thinking and component-based design.
• Proven ability to design for complex data hierarchies and filtering mechanisms.
• Skilled in user research, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments, embracing rapid iteration and collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting design rationale to stakeholders.

Preference

• Experience designing for log management, observability, or developer tools.
• Familiarity with incident response workflows and troubleshooting dashboards.
• Background in SaaS or B2B environments, thriving in fast-paced settings.
