Senior UX Designer: SWO NIO

We work in a hybrid mode 3+2, with a minimum of 3 days at the office (with mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and a maximum of 2 days at the home office.

The location of our office is Holandská 873/6, Brno – Štýřice, 639 00.

We employ only via an employment contract – full-time employment (HPP).

Your Role:

As a Senior UX Designer at SolarWinds, you will lead the design of user experiences for SolarWinds Network Infrastructure Observability (SWO NIO)—a critical component of the SolarWinds Observability Platform. This role demands strategic thinking, deep UX expertise, and the ability to transform complex networking data and workflows into intuitive, elegant solutions for enterprise customers.

You will own the design for core networking observability features, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to deliver a seamless experience across the platform. Your work will directly impact how IT professionals monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance in hybrid and cloud environments.

Your Impact:

• Drive the UX vision for SWO NIO, ensuring consistency and scalability across the Observability Platform.
• Partner with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to define problems, validate solutions, and deliver high-quality designs.
• From discovery and research to production-ready deliverables, own the entire design lifecycle.
• Apply insights from research and data to create user-centered solutions that simplify complex networking workflows.
• Work closely with engineering to maintain design integrity through implementation and launch.
• Help evolve and maintain component-based design patterns for consistency and accessibility.
• Share best practices, provide feedback, and guide junior designers within the team.

Your Experience:

• 5+ years of experience designing enterprise SaaS products or complex B2B applications.
• Strong portfolio showcasing data-rich, workflow-driven product experiences.
• Expertise in Figma (or similar tools like Sketch, Zeplin).
• Deep understanding of systems thinking and component-based design.
• Proven ability to design for complex data hierarchies and large-scale workflows.
• Skilled in user research, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments, embracing rapid iteration and collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting design rationale to stakeholders.

Preference

• Experience designing for network monitoring, observability, or developer tools.
• Familiarity with incident management workflows and performance dashboards.
• Background in SaaS or B2B environments, thriving in fast-paced settings.
