About the Role
As a LATAM Solutions Engineer at SolarWinds, you will play a key role in supporting the regional sales team by delivering technical expertise, demonstrating the value of our solutions, and helping customers solve their most pressing IT challenges. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, customer-facing environment, has a strong technical foundation, and is passionate about helping IT professionals succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver product demonstrations that highlight how SolarWinds solutions simplify the jobs of IT professionals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to prospects and customers during product evaluations to ensure success criteria are met.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues across all SolarWinds product lines.
  • Create product design and deployment architecture diagrams using tools like Visio to reflect best practices.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to align SolarWinds solutions with customers business needs and technical challenges.
  • Conduct internal technical training sessions to keep sales team members informed of new and updated products.
  • Collect and relay customer feedback on product functionality, challenges, and enhancement requests to the Product Management team.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email and ensure timely, clear, and professional communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer engagements within CRM systems.
  • Travel to customer or partner sites across LATAM (up to 25%).

Required Qualifications

  • Fluency in Portuguese (required) and proficiency in either English or Spanish.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience (3+ years) in roles such as Network Engineer, System Administrator, or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Experience in a pre-sales technical role with a software vendor is highly preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical foundation in networking and systems administration.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and protocols such as ICMP, SNMP, Syslog, WMI, RPC, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2022/2019 and Microsoft SQL Server 2022/2019/2017.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience implementing or administering SolarWinds products.
  • Experience administering servers (Windows, Linux/Unix), network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), and virtualization/storage environments.
  • Comfort delivering technical training to both internal teams and external customers.
  • Scripting or automation experience using tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Perl.
  • Ability to generate custom reports using SQL queries.
