We work in hybrid mode 3+2, at least 3 days at the office (with mandatory Wednesdays and Thursdays) and 2 days at the home office.

The location of our office is Puszkarska 7J/Building E, 30-644 Kraków, Polska.

We employ only via an employment contract – FTE.

Role

We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to join our growing team who specializes in the secure configuration of Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud environments. The right candidate will be responsible for the risk posture, best practice guidance, and enforcement of security controls across these environments. We are looking for an ideal candidate who comes from a solid security operations or DevSecOps background and has a good foundation in identifying cloud-based threats in a global enterprise IT software company. The role requires providing expertise and recommendations to application owners, Engineering, DevOps, and SRE engineering teams, and IT network and systems engineers on how to enhance the security and protection controls for cloud-based environments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, fine-tune, and automate threat and vulnerability management in the cloud using our CSPM solution.
  • Develop and configure security scanning activity using native tools to ensure coverage and drive down security risk for the organization.
  • Work with internal Security teams, DevOps, Engineering, SRE, and IT teams to ensure compliance, security events, and incident response activities are tracked and remediated
  • Responsible for the implementation of security measures within our rapidly expanding cloud infrastructures, both in Azure with services in Microsoft 365 and AWS.
  • Lead security evaluations of cloud-based architectures and conduct security assessments to confirm that the implementation of security controls around cloud-based applications and environments adheres to enterprise security standards.
  • Provide proactive security recommendations for more secure settings across our cloud environments.
  • Define and develop preventive guardrails, detective controls, automated alerts, and remediation to ensure secure implementation and that all cloud environments are compliant with Solarwinds’ security standards and policies.
  • Develop and present risk-based reports to executives
  • Automate actionable Threat Intelligence, work with other security teams to perform cloud-based threat hunts, and help drive a collaborative, proactive approach with all teams.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft 365 architectures or AWS (cloud and hybrid cloud/on-prem solutions)
  • Relevant Cloud Certs: Amazon, Microsoft, and/or a degree in Cyber Security with relevant experience.
  • Excellent English, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience with applying best practices around securing IAM, Network Security Controls (Firewalls, WAFS, IPS/IDS, Honeypots) by using native cloud tools such as MS Defender for Cloud, AWS Config, Control Tower, Inspector, Guard Duty, etc.)
  • Experience with environments hosting production SAAS products, building pipelines, and familiarity with common engineering tools
  • Experience with Azure AD Identity Governance and Azure AD as identity provider for SSO, MFA, and Azure AD Roles
  • Functional knowledge of PowerShell, Azure Automation, Kusto Query Language (KQL), and Terraform
  • Proficiency in several security technologies, including data loss prevention, encryption, cloud access security brokers, multi-factor authentication, and endpoint protection.
