About the Role

At SolarWinds, we’re building an observability platform that powers real-time insights across complex, hybrid environments—and at the heart of that platform are AI-driven experiences, a high-performance data platform, and extensible SDKs and APIs that enable innovation across our ecosystem.

As Principal Product Manager for AI, Data Platform, SDKs & APIs, you will be responsible for defining the strategic direction and execution across these foundational pillars. Your role is to align stakeholders around a clear, actionable vision for how AI integrates into our product experience, remove organizational and technical roadblocks to delivering AI capabilities, and ensure our data platform supports scalable, secure, and efficient access to telemetry across the stack. You’ll also own the roadmap for internal and external APIs and SDKs that empower product teams, partners, and customers to build, integrate, and extend seamlessly. This role requires deep systems thinking, technical fluency, and strong cross-functional leadership.

What You’ll Do
• Define and drive the product vision for AI integration across the SolarWinds observability platform
• Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, product teams, and GTM stakeholders to bring AI-driven features to market
• Own the roadmap for our core data platform, ensuring it supports scale, performance, and extensibility across all SolarWinds products
• Lead the design and delivery of platform SDKs and APIs that enable faster internal development and third-party integration
• Serve as a key voice in cross-functional forums, ensuring alignment on architectural decisions and platform evolution
• Identify and eliminate barriers to delivering AI-powered value across teams and workflows
• Set success metrics for platform usability, developer adoption, data performance, and AI feature impact
• Evangelize a shared vision for platform extensibility and intelligent automation across the organization

What We’re Looking For
• 10+ years of product management experience, with deep expertise in platform technologies, data systems, or AI/ML integration
• Proven success in aligning cross-functional stakeholders around complex technical visions
• Strong technical background—able to discuss architecture, APIs, data models, and AI pipelines fluently with engineering teams
• Experience building or scaling SDKs, APIs, or developer platforms
• Track record of delivering AI- or data-powered features in enterprise software
• Ability to influence at all levels of the organization and drive execution across multiple teams
• Highly organized, systems-oriented thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have
• Experience with observability, monitoring, or telemetry platforms
• Familiarity with distributed data systems, stream processing, or machine learning infrastructure
• Background in productizing internal platforms or tools into customer-facing features
• Passion for enabling teams to build faster, better, and smarter through great platform design
