Your Impact

As a Senior Staff Product Manager, Platform Signals & Alerting, you will define and drive the strategy for eventing, alerting, and observability across the platform. Your work will impact how we surface critical signals, reduce noise, and enable engineering teams to act on meaningful events in real-time.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, SREs, and other product teams to ensure that our platform can detect, process, and respond to signals at scale. This role is highly strategic and technical, requiring deep expertise in event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and alerting frameworks.

What You’ll Do
• Own the product strategy and roadmap for platform-level signals, alerting, and eventing systems.
• Define best practices for signal processing, noise reduction, and actionable alerting across the platform.
• Partner with engineering, SREs, and infrastructure teams to ensure platform reliability and operational excellence.
• Improve observability, logging, and monitoring across distributed services.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to shape how alerts and events are consumed, routed, and visualized.
• Establish key KPIs and SLAs for system health, signal fidelity, and incident response efficiency.
• Influence the long-term architecture and scalability of event-driven systems at SolarWinds.

What We’re Looking For
• 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 4+ years working on platforms, observability, or event-driven architectures.
• Experience building alerting, monitoring, or eventing systems at scale.
• Strong technical understanding of distributed systems, logging pipelines, and observability frameworks.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, SREs, and leadership to drive technical and business outcomes.
• Proven ability to balance signal fidelity vs. noise reduction in large-scale alerting systems.
• Strong data-driven mindset with experience defining and tracking KPIs for operational health.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear product strategies.

Nice to Have
• Experience with Kafka, Pulsar, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar technologies.
• Background in incident management, reliability engineering, or security alerting.
• Experience leading high-availability, mission-critical platform services.
