Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a team building platform insights and internal developer tooling (#devex). This role focuses on Kubernetes-based platforms, cloud environments, and systems that improve developer productivity, testing visibility, and operational insight.

You’ll combine people leadership with strong technical ownership across platform services and tooling used by engineering teams.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production
  • Strong experience working in AWS and/or Azure environments
  • Strong experience with multiple programming languages in large-scale systems
  • Experience building or operating Internal Developer Portals (Backstage, Port, or similar)
  • Experience running distributed test infrastructure with centralized observability (ReportPortal, BrowserStack, or similar)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD integration patterns, preferably using SaaS CI tools (CircleCI or similar)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of platform engineers
  • Own platform services and tooling that surface insights to engineering teams
  • Partner with product, infrastructure, and developer teams on platform adoption
  • Drive reliability, observability, and usability across internal platforms

This Role Is:

  • Technical and hands-on
  • Focused on internal platforms, developer experience, and insights

Not a pure people-management or traditional DevOps role.
