SolarWinds is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to report to the Tax Manager and be an integral part of the tax team.  The Senior Tax Analyst will primarily assist in all aspects of the Company’s federal, state, and international tax issues.  The role will focus on accounting for income taxes under U.S. GAAP, income tax compliance, supporting tax audits, and various research projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly tax provisions to ensure current and deferred taxes are properly recorded and reported as required under ASC740
  • Support the federal and state corporate income and franchise tax compliance process including US international tax calculations (i.e. GILTI, FDII, subpart F, etc.)
  • Respond to tax notices and assist with the management of federal, state, and international tax audits
  • Perform research and analysis on various tax issues such as acquisitions and new business initiatives
  • Update and maintain tax calendar to ensure timely filings
  • Work collaboratively with other Finance functions on various projects
  • Assist with estimated tax payment calculations and payment processing
  • Prepare filings for property tax, gross receipts tax, franchise tax, and other indirect taxes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, or Finance (Graduate degree preferred)
  • Certified Public Accountant or seeking CPA certification
  • Tax professional with minimum 2 years related experience (public accounting experience preferred)
  • Knowledgeable of ASC 740
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail and highly organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision (preferred)
