We work in hybrid mode 3+2, at least 3 days at the office (with mandatory Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and 2 days at the home office.
The location of our office is Puszkarska 7J/Building E, 30-644 Kraków, Polska.

We seek a detail-oriented Staff Front-End Engineer to join our Application Performance Monitoring (APM) team, where you will be helping us build the next generation of observability software. You will work alongside skilled colleagues exclusively on our brand-new product experience using state-of-the-art, modern technology.
Project:
SolarWinds Observability (SWO) provides unified visibility across cloud-native, on-premises, and hybrid environments. It offers real-time monitoring, AI-powered anomaly detection, and extensive third-party integrations to help IT teams maintain high performance and reliability. This makes it a valuable tool for ensuring optimal service levels and user satisfaction. Responsibilities:
A successful Staff Front-End Engineer should demonstrate specialized engineering knowledge in building software. Responsibilities may include:
- Build web applications and features using TypeScript, React, and GraphQL
- Understanding the “big picture” when breaking a problem down into small chunks of work
- Continually improve the availability, scalability, and performance of our applications
- Providing guidance and mentoring for other engineers when designing and implementing features
- Work with the team to estimate and plan our work
- Evaluating existing processes and procedures to identify areas that need optimization
- Willingness to learn and champion new things as the product grows and technologies change
- Keeping abreast of developments and innovation in the area of specialization
- Collaborate across the organization (architecture, UX, SRE, front-end/back-end engineering, etc)
- Working with teams across the globe (accommodating time-zone challenges)
- Writing proposals to gain internal feedback on an idea ahead of implementation
Qualifications:
The right candidate is great to work with, enjoys collaboration, is proficient at building modern web applications, is well-equipped to spread knowledge, and takes pride in his or her craft. You should care deeply about user experience and expect to iterate as we figure out how things should work, look, and feel. You appreciate (and design) code/patterns that nudge engineers in the right direction.
- 5+ years of professional experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and React
- Experience building software in a Node.js environment
- Excited to teach and mentor younger engineers to help them grow
- Expertise in learning new technologies and familiarity with: Node.js, TypeScript, React, npm, GraphQL
- Comfortable consuming APIs and transforming data
- Experience and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attentive to UI detail and excellent at working with designers to solve UX problems
- Comfortable with cloud-based deployment and remote teams
- Experience working in a Scrum environment
Nice to have:
- Proficiency in programming with Java and Kotlin
- Experience with Docker, microservices architecture, and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry
- Strong understanding of metrics and logging
- Expertise in CI/CD processes
- Experience with SaaS applications and AWS
