Your Role:

As the SLED Field Marketing Manager, you will be an integral part of the SolarWinds marketing team, helping us accelerate demand within the public sector segment by strategically developing, managing, and executing field programs and campaigns specifically targeting the US State and Local and Education verticals.

In this role, you will be responsible for building brand awareness, thought leadership recognition, and creating demand with state and local government agencies, healthcare  and educational institutions across the US. This position will drive programs with the goal of generating a quality pipeline, stimulating the acceleration of the sales cycle, and building customer relationships. You will partner closely with our SLED sales teams to deliver and accelerate their pipeline and support their enablement needs in exceeding objectives and revenue goals within the SLED segment.

Your Impact:

  • Build and execute national and regional SLED marketing programs that integrate sales and marketing requirements to support pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Work closely with the SolarWinds SLED sales and marketing leadership team to define marketing goals.
  • Develop a strategic marketing plan that aligns with SW brand and sales pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Develop and execute demand-generation marketing programs including third-party and SW events, webinars, in-person and virtual experiences, integrated campaigns, and roadshows.
  • Drive lead acquisition, nurture, and support the development of pipeline opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the broader marketing organization to build SolarWinds value proposition for SLED across different platforms, as well as create thought leadership awareness campaigns to position SolarWinds solutions with the SLED vertical.
  • Forecast and measure the impact of the marketing plan on sales cycles while analyzing program results, optimizing as needed.
  • Act as the subject-matter expert, maintain ongoing communications, and be the go-to marketing resource with the SLED regional sales leaders, sales reps, BDRs, marketing communications, and product marketing teams.
  • Assist Sales leadership in understanding, participating, and obtaining buy-in for field marketing programs.
  • Partner with channel management to develop marketing strategies to acquire new customers.

Your Experience:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience marketing to the SLED audience – Enterprise B-to-B SaaS or IT preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience executing integrated marketing campaigns, demand generation programs, and events that drive leads, pipeline, and revenue for both direct and through partner sales
  • Experienced at supporting and partnering with sales to meet or exceed pipeline and revenue targets
  • Excellent communicator and team player – Ability to manage projects and clearly communicate your results back to stakeholders
  • Detail-orientated and able to prioritize work based on deadlines and impact on the business
  • Ability to be self-motivated and able to drive and run programs independently
  • Data-driven, analytical mindset. Must have a strong background in tracking, analysis, and reporting the effectiveness of marketing plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with channel, partners, and distributors including Carahsoft, AWS, Microsoft
  • Prior experience with Salesforce, Marketo, even better if you have used Demand Base or 6Sense
