We work in hybrid mode 3+2, at least 3 days at the office (with mandatory Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and 2 days at the home office.

The location of our office is Puszkarska 7J/Building E, 30-644 Kraków, Polska.

Role Overview:

As the Engineering Manager for our Application Performance Monitoring team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our APM products. You’ll lead a talented team of engineers to build innovative solutions that enhance our customers’ experiences, ensuring that our products are reliable, scalable, and deliver exceptional value. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the team’s success, from ideation to execution, as you guide them in delivering high-quality software that meets and exceeds customer expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Help team members grow in their careers and ensure they have the support they need to excel.
  • Product Vision & Strategy: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define the product roadmap. Ensure that the team’s work aligns with the company’s strategic goals and delivers maximum value to customers.
  • Quality & Delivery: Drive the team to deliver high-quality software on time and within scope. Implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment to ensure the reliability and performance of our APM products.
  • Customer Focus: Keep the customer at the center of everything we do. Work closely with customer-facing teams to understand user needs and pain points, and translate those insights into product enhancements that delight our users.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the observability and APM space. Encourage the team to explore new approaches and solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Professional Experience:

  • Over 5 years of extensive experience in software development.
  • 3 years of leadership experience in managing teams, strongly emphasizing Agile methodologies.
  • Proven expertise in building, deploying, debugging, and scaling cloud-based microservices and web applications, particularly in SaaS environments using Azure and AWS.
  • Proficient in object-oriented and functional programming languages, SQL and NoSQL databases, frontend technologies, containerization, and source code versioning.
  • Well-versed in utilizing JIRA and other engineering management tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Proficient in both English and Polish, with strong communication skills in both written and spoken forms.
