Sr. Data Project Manager

Your Role:

As a Project Manager embedded within our Analytics department, you will play a key role in planning, executing, and closing projects that drive data-driven decision-making and support various business areas, including marketing, product, sales, customer support, and customer success. You will collaborate closely with Business Intelligence Analysts and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of analytics projects that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.

Your Impact:

• Project Planning : Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, goals, deliverables, tasks, resource requirements, and timelines for analytics projects.
• Project Execution : Lead cross-functional project teams, including Business Intelligence Analysts and other relevant roles, to execute projects effectively and efficiently.
• Risk Management : Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies. Develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Stakeholder Communication : Act as a central point of contact for project communication, providing regular updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and team members.
• Resource Management : Allocate and manage project resources, ensuring the right skill sets are available to support project needs.
• Quality Assurance : Oversee project quality and ensure that project deliverables meet defined quality standards.
• Change Management : Monitor and manage project scope changes and assess their potential impact on timelines and resources.
• Project Documentation : Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
• Budget Management : Manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
• Integration with Business Analysts : Collaborate closely with Business Intelligence Analysts to understand project requirements and align project goals with analytics objectives.

Specialist Responsibilities

• Depending on the nature of specific analytics projects, you may have specialist responsibilities related to the type of analysis required or specific business area (e.g., marketing, product, sales, customer support, or customer success).
• Ensure that project goals are in sync with the data and reporting needs of the respective business areas.
• Provide guidance on project objectives, data collection, and analysis requirements for Business Intelligence Analysts in the Analytics department.
• Support the development of analytics tools and systems that enable efficient data analysis for various business functions.
• Collaborate with Business Intelligence Analysts to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and relevance to project goals.

Your Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience in project management, including successful management of analytics projects.
• Strong project management skills, including experience with project management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with data analytics, business intelligence, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
• PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
