We work in hybrid mode 3+2, at minimum of 3 days at the office and 2 days on home office.

Location of our office is Holandská 873/6, Brno – Štýřice, 639 00.

Role Overview:

As a Security Software Engineer, shape the future of secure software development at the biggest SolarWinds engineering team in Brno – Czech Republic. Join our Software Security Group, collaborating closely with engineers and architects to influence product security and deliver secure solutions that meet the highest industry standards. Play a pivotal role in designing secure product architectures, conducting feature threat modeling, and ensuring compliance for US federal security standards.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product teams and help them design and deliver secure software features for our HCO (Hybrid Cloud Observability) solution.
Introduce and lead feature threat modeling practices to proactively identify and mitigate potential security risks, ensuring the highest level of software security.
Analyze and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities (both internally but externally reported).
Drive compliance efforts by producing a clear and comprehensive Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) to meet the latest US federal requirements.
Work closely with our security community, engineers, architects, EngOps to foster our Security By Design culture. Promoting best practices in SW development, building and testing. Continuously improving the security posture of our software products.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and security practices, and actively contribute to the growth of the team and organization.
Contribution to fulfilling requirements for US federal security compliances and certifications (FIPS, DoDIN, Common Criteria, FedRAMP, ISO..)

Qualifications:

Decent practical knowledge of .NET development.
Solid understanding of secure software development principles and practices.
Experience in analyzing and responding to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
Familiarity with secure software architecture concepts.
Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language, enabling you to read and understand source code and contribute to automation efforts.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
